Metamorphosis, the evolution of a winged primate, is about taking
your chance as a primate with wings.
Evolution has enabled us to communicate; we are able to express
ourselves through music, through words or through the visual arts.
We are monkeys with the opportunity to express ourselves.
This is about human potential, our ability to do all things and
our capacity to be all things. The relentless march of time and
the fragility of existence are forever present, many people have
their chance taken from them and so the unpredictability of death
makes each day vital. These sometimes troubling notions ultimately
inspire and create the drive to achieve more.
My images of death are not death in its finality, but the death
of complacency and stagnation. These leaps are leaps of chance
and the wings, wings of opportunity. This is my life and your
life. This is about being all you can be.
